What anxiety can look like
Anxiety shows up differently for everyone. For some people, it is constant low-level worry that makes it hard to relax. For others it is sudden panic, difficulty sleeping, or physical symptoms like a racing heart or stomach pain. You do not need a formal diagnosis to reach out. If something feels off, that is reason enough to talk to someone.
Common signs
Emotional
Excessive worry, feeling on edge, difficulty concentrating, irritability, and a sense of dread that does not match the situation.
Physical
Racing heart, muscle tension, headaches, stomach problems, trouble sleeping, and fatigue even after rest.
Behavioral
Avoiding situations that trigger worry, withdrawing from friends or activities, procrastinating, and seeking constant reassurance.
How we treat anxiety
Therapy
CBT, exposure therapy, and other evidence-based approaches that teach practical skills for managing worry and building resilience over time.
Medication
When therapy alone is not enough, our psychiatric provider can add medication support with careful monitoring and regular follow-up.
Combined care
Your therapist and psychiatric provider coordinate treatment so every part of your care plan works together.
