Why Sorena Health
Why families across Arizona choose Sorena Health
Getting the right psychiatric care should not depend on how long you are willing to wait or how much you are able to pay out of pocket. That belief is the reason Sorena Health exists.

The gap we set out to close
We built a practice around removing the barriers that keep Arizona families from getting help: long waitlists, providers who do not take Medicaid, and a shortage of psychiatrists who see children and teens. Arizona has a real shortage of psychiatric providers, and it shows up hardest in two places, child and adolescent care, and Medicaid coverage.
How we work
Every part of how we work, from our scheduling to our provider mix to our telehealth options, comes back to one goal: making psychiatric care easier to reach.
Care that meets you where you are
We offer both in-person visits across our Arizona locations and telehealth appointments from wherever you are most comfortable. A psychiatric evaluation runs about an hour, whether it happens in our office or over video, and it is followed by monthly or bi-monthly medication management visits so your care team can stay closely connected to how you are doing.
Care for the whole family, not just adults
Child and adolescent psychiatry is one of the hardest specialties to access in Arizona, and it is a core part of what we do rather than a small add-on. Our providers work with children, teens, and adults, which means a family can often find care for a child and a parent within the same practice instead of piecing together referrals across town.
Accepting Medicaid without cutting corners
Many practices that accept Medicaid struggle to also offer timely appointments and consistent follow-up. We built our scheduling and provider capacity around avoiding that trade-off, so accepting Medicaid does not mean accepting a lower standard of care or a longer wait to be seen.
What you can expect from us
- Board-certified psychiatric providers with experience across child, adolescent, and adult care
- Medicaid accepted, alongside other major insurance plans
- A team that stays responsive between visits instead of disappearing until the next appointment
- In-person appointments at our Arizona locations and telehealth visits statewide
- A first evaluation that is thorough, not rushed, followed by regular medication management check-ins
