What to expect from pediatric psychiatry
The first visit includes time with the child and time with parents or guardians. We learn about what is happening at home, at school, and with friends, and we gather any history from pediatricians or teachers when helpful. From there we build a plan that may include therapy, medication, or both, always explained in terms families understand.
Who this is for
Young children
Behavioral concerns, anxiety, ADHD, sleep problems, and developmental questions in kids as young as 4.
School age
ADHD, anxiety, mood changes, difficulty with peers, and challenges that are showing up in the classroom.
Teens
Depression, anxiety, self-esteem, identity, substance use concerns, and the pressure that comes with growing up.
How we work
